The instructional
and administrative staff comprises well-qualified and experienced
educators whose goal is to bring out the best in each and every student.
CCS affirms a commitment to quality education and a belief that every
child can and will succeed in ways that reflect his or her own unique
aptitudes and interests. Students are continuously exposed to complex
learning experiences, focusing around critical ideas, meaningful questions
and purposeful projects. With a low student-to-teacher ratio and individualized
programs, students and teachers are partners in their pursuit of learning
and understanding. All subjects, with the exception of Spanish, Bolivian
Social Studies, and foreign languages are conducted in English.

The Early Childhood Education
Program serves children between 3 and 4 years of age, placing
emphasis on language development through the use of a carefully
designed and sequenced program that integrates all the communication
skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing. Children
become accustomed to the school environment and gain experience
in working and sharing together.
At the elementary level, (kinder through grade 6), a high
standard of work is expected and the ESL program is available for
students experiencing difficulty with English. A thorough grounding
is provided in reading/language arts, mathematics, social studies
and science. Students are

encouraged to question and research,
to find new ways in which to examine problems, and to form and defend
their opinions.
At the secondary level (grades 7 through 12), there are
specialists for every subject and students move from classroom to
classroom. Efforts are made to assure comprehension, mastery, and
application of all subject matter. Students follow a rigorous curriculum,
fulfilling requirements for U.S. and Bolivian diplomas. Advanced
Placement (AP) courses for university credit are available in all
disciplines.
